Sarantaporos (Greek: Σαραντάπορος) is a river in the northern part of the Larissa Prefecture in northern Thessaly, Greece, not far from the Kozani prefectural boundary.
The Sarantaporos river begins in the Kamvounia mountains and the Vigla mountaintop around the Thessaly-Macedonia or West Macedonia regional or the Kozani-Larissa prefectural boundary. The river flows near the small place known as Vigla and into a barren area and into a forested area for the next 10 km and passes east of Sarantaporo in which the river receives its name from the village. It receives its first tributary northeast of Milea and the GR-3/E65 (Larissa - Kozani - Niki) and its last with the Potamia.
